heavy bamboo timber?
(Ans.)There are two kinds of artificial bamboo timber. One we
call light bamboo timber.
the other one called heavy bamboo timber. We cut the bamboo
along its long stem into
sheets, and apply glue to adhere these sheets together to become
light timber. As for
the heavy bamboo timber, we do like this：Cutting the bamboo
along its long stem into
strings, put these strings into square mould, apply glue to
them, and press them with
high pressure and high temperature, so these strings sticks
together to form a new high
density fibrous tissue. Light bamboo timber is lighter than
water, if you throw it on the
water it floats. But if you throw the heavy bamboo timber to the
water, it sinks. That
why they got these names.

eats Fargesia Spathacea Franch, Fargesia Spathacea Franch is an evergreen bamboo growing to 4m by 5m.Its stem is very small, It
is in leaf all year. It can not be used to make furniture, the
one used to make funiture call Moso bamboo, systematic
name:
hyllostachys pubescens Mazel ex.Hl. de Leh. Moso bamboo is about
30 meter tall and its stem is about 10 cm in average diameter.
